As vast as the island may seem, you can expect the owner, Iain Traynor, personally on every estimate and job site.
Before owning and operating a business (which years ago was pictured through the eyes of a prospective Chiropractor- yes really), Iain soaked up as much construction knowledge as he could.
During his younger years when he wasn’t at baseball practice, he spent his time working with his father, a master carpenter who immigrated from Scotland. After finishing high school, Iain joined the Local 1 Bricklayers Union in Manhattan. His career and experience ascended as quickly as the scaffolding he worked on. Shortly after starting he was promoted to head Masonry Foreman as a result of his natural ability to manage and execute.

In the first year of business Stone Escapes landed a feature in Cambridge Pavingstone’s magazine. This is an amazing accomplishment and honor for any masonry contractor in New York, let alone the tri-state area.
Iain has a variety of certifications and currently holds licenses in Suffolk County, Nassau County and the Townships of Southampton and East Hampton. The Stone Escapes team is proficient in hardscape design, paver installation, demolition, excavation, landscape design and the list goes on. Stone Escapes installs quality pavers and materials distributed by Cambridge, Techo-Bloc, Unilock, Nicolock, Eldorado and Boral.
Iain is currently awaiting a bid proposal for a complete renovation of a home that will be gifted to one lucky veteran. Iain continues to expand his business while staying current to changes and new developments within his masonry niche.
